Manager of the Year 2014

The seventh edition of the Manager of the Year competition was held on 28 October 2014 and announced its winner at its traditional glittering ceremony at the Sofia Opera and Ballet. His name is Mr. Spiros Nomikos – CEO of Solvay Sodi JSC, and his award coincides with this year’s 40th anniversary of the company. The winner of the most prestigious competition for high managerial achievements in Bulgaria, organised by Manager Magazine, was announced by the President of the republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Rosen Plevneliev, who handed the crystal statuette to the winner of the award.
“I am proud to work for Bulgaria! I accept this award as a great recognition of the 40th anniversary of the company which we celebrate this year”, were the first words of the new Manager of the Year. “It is not easy to compare each of us in the top ten, but we all share similar values such as respect for people and ethical behaviour. In Bulgaria I sincerely admire people who have created a business, in addition to being managers. I really believe that all ten of us and many others in the country deserve this award”, he said to the other nine finalists in the competition.
